Spiti Valley Tour (Himachal)

On your arrival at Chandigarh Airport/Railway station; you will be escorted by our representative in a car drive to Sarahan. There, you will check-in to the hotel for some rest and food. As you may feel altitude sickness, we give you the whole day to relax and regain your energies for the next day’s drive. Take a gradual walk down the village and return to your hotel and rest overnight.

Post breakfast and Bhima Kali Devi Darshan, you will be driven to Sangla. This day’s drive is going to be a little bumpy ride as you drive on serpentine roads to Sangla Valley. We’ll take you there safely and let you check-in to the guesthouse. After driving for such a long time, you would want to hang out in your room with some drinks and rest overnight. Enjoy the natural charm of the place and warmth of hospitality extended by the inhabitants of the old villages.

Today you calm your sense in one of the most beautiful valleys of Himachal- Chitkul and Sangla. At the height of 9000 feet from sea level, it might take time for you get adapted but once you do, there is no looking back. Visit Kamru village near Sangla, Kamru fort at the top of the peak at an elevation of 2700 meters is a marvel to watch. Afterwards, you will be driven to Chitkul from Sangla, the drive is exhilarating and beautiful at the same time. Baspa River flows alongside the valley making a view to die for. Once you reach Chitkul, you will be divined by the panoramic views and consummate beauty of the village. Return to the hotel in Sangla for a night stay.

After Breakfast in the Hotel. The Bukit Peninsula is a jagged coastline that includes Jimbaran, Uluwatu, and Nusa Dua. After your morning coffee, head to one of Bali’s holiest temples, the Pura Luhur Uluwatu. It’s another iconic landmark that sits on a rock jutting out of the Indian Ocean. The temple is dedicated to the spirits of the sea and you will observe many aquatic references and carvings throughout the structure. The surrounding coastline is beautiful and decked with limestone cliffs. At noon, head to the beaches of Nusa Dua for beachside grilling. One of the most popular lunchtime haunts is the Nusa Dua Beach Grill. It’s a secluded surf bar at a prime location, giving diners fantastic views paired with equally fantastic food. While you’re there, make sure to check out the many water sports on offer by the beach. Nusa Dua is best known for water activities like boat rides, sea walk, and even white water rafting. Night stay at the hotel.

Your next destination which is Kalpa is a few kilometres away from Sangla. Kalpa has an exotic vibe to it by offering you an enchanting view of Kinner Kailash.  Explore the area and revive your scratched souls with the refreshing healing of the environment and feel neared to gods. A halt at Reckong Peo would be admirable for its unpretentious beauty. Visit local markets for splurging on local handicrafts and Devouring upon authentic Tibetan cuisine.  You will check into a hotel in Kalpa for your night stay.

In the morning, get ready to explore the mysteries of Tabo Monastery.  The oldest monastery of the Himalayas stores some of the most priceless collections of scroll paintings, manuscripts, murals and frescos.  After exploring this ancient village, buckle for rid ahead to Kaza. It is a three hours’ drive to Kaza while halting at Dhankar village in between. After a savoury lunch at Dhankar Village, proceed to Kaza. On arrival check into the hotel room, freshen up and feel free to explore the local market in the evening.

Wake up in the beautiful town of Kaza and get ready to explore the nearby villages of Langza (The fossil village), Komic, Hikkim & Key monastery. Each of these villages is famous for special reasons. Langza is known as the Fossil village of India due to the abundance of marine fossils found here. Hikkim claims to have the world highest post office. While Komic is the world’s highest village to be connected with a motorable road. You can also visit Kibber which is famous for the ibex and Snow leopard sightings. The key monastery is one of the most famous monasteries of Spiti Valley. It is one of the main centres of Buddhist leanings in the valley. After sightseeing at the Key Monastery, head towards Kaza for the evening stay.

In the morning, treat yourself with the sightseeing tour to Manali and surrounding places. A tour will start with a quick visit to Doongri Temple (Hadimba Temple), Hanogi MataTemple and Pandoh Dam. And to satisfy the element of adventure, you must go for paragliding, rafting, skiing, trekking, and zorbing. After a thrilling experience, a short walk on the mall road would calm you down before returning to the hotel.

Waking up from a nice happy dream is always disturbing; you feel the same way today? After a secluded journey of mountains from where no networks, no laptops, no calls could be made, it will be a little hard to be back to your daily regimes.
